The new facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace has been teased ahead of it being revealed on May 12, 2021. The teaser showcases the new updated styling it gets on both the inside and the outside along with many other features.
As per the leaked images the Tiguan Allspace is expected to get changes similar to that of the Tiguan facelift that is already out in the international market since last year. The pictures revealed shows the reworked taillights featuring the LED lighting along with the car’s basic profile.
Volkswagen has said that the Tiguan Allspace “has received the same treatment (similar to that of the standard Tiguan) and now dazzles with a sharper look, digital cockpit and comprehensive connectivity.” The car would get updated bumpers, new front grille and reworked headlamps.
Speaking of the cabin, the updated Allspace will get features like a new steering wheel, car manufacturer’s latest MIB3 infotainment system, online-based control and assist systems, ambient lighting and added connected car technology features. A few features are similar to the previous version of the Tiguan like a fully digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters, panoramic sunroof and many more. On the safety front, the Tiguan Allspace will get 9 airbags, lane assist, park assist, front and rear parking sensors and tyre pressure monitoring system.
Lesser is known about the new Allspace, in terms of the engine. The car is expected to continue with its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission and Volkswagen’s 4 all-wheel-drive motion producing 190PS against 320Nm of torque.
The Tiguan Allspace will be relatively new in the Indian car market and is currently priced at INR 34.20 lakh (Ex-showroom). Volkswagen India launch is also lined-up for standard Tiguan facelift this year which will rivel the Ford Endeavour, MG Gloster, Mahindra Alturas G4 and the Toyota Fortuner.
