Honda is all set to introduce the facelifted Amaze on August 18, 2021 in the Indian market. But the automaker has commenced the booking of the same across all dealerships in the country ahead of its launch. The booking amount starts from INR 21,000 and the prospective buyers can also book the compact sedan via Honda’s official India website for INR 5,000.
The facelifted version of the Amaze is expected to receive cosmetic upgrades like the new LED headlamps and redesigned taillights, new alloy wheels, upgraded interiors along with updated features and more connectivity options.
Under the hood, the facelift version of the Amaze will be powered by the same engine options as in the current version: a 1.2-litre petrol unit producing 89bhp and 110Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 99bhp against a peak torque of 200Nm. The engines are mated either with a 5-speed manual (MT) gearbox or a CVT transmission. The 2021 Honda Amaze will rival the likes of the Hyundai Aura, Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the Ford Aspire.
Commenting about the launch of the Amaze facelift, Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India, said, “Since its debut in 2013, Honda Amaze has won the hearts of more than 4.5 lakh Indian customers making it one of India’s most preferred family sedans. We are extremely excited to add another chapter to the success story of the model with the launch of new Amaze later this month. The new Amaze becomes even more premium, stylish and sophisticated. We are approaching the upcoming festive season with a fully refreshed line-up and hope to create fresh excitement in the market.”
