After waiting for ages, Hyundai has officially started accepting bookings at its authorized dealerships for its upcoming 7-seater SUV, Hyundai Alcazar, via a booking amount of INR 25,000 across the country. The upcoming SUV will mark the Korean car manufacturer’s debut in the 7-seater vehicle segment in the Indian automobile market.
The upcoming 7-seater Alcazar gets a few of the best features in its segment like a 10.25-inch multi-display digital cluster, side foot step, rear-window sunshade, auto healthy air purifier with AQI display, Bose premium sound system with 8 speakers and more. In addition to this, the SUV also gets 64 colour ambient lighting, wheelbase of 2,760 (longest in its segment) and a 8-way power driver seat.
In terms of powertrain, it will offer 2 (Two) engine options: a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 157bhp and 171Nm of torque and a 1.5 VGT diesel engine generating 113bhp against a peak torque of 250Nm. Both the engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual (MT) gearbox or a 6-speed automatic (AT) transmission. The upcoming 7-seater SUV will offer 3 (Three) drive modes – Comfort, Eco, and Sport along with 3 (Three) traction control modes – Snow, Sand, and Mud.
The Hyundai Alcazar will rival the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV500, Tata Safari and upcoming Mahindra XUV700 in its segment.
