The Korean car manufacturer, Hyundai has revealed the teaser images of its new upcoming MPV, the Hyundai Custo. This is the second MPV to be introduced by the company in the international market after the launch of Hyundai Staria which was introduced earlier this year. The upcoming MPV is expected to offer 6-seater or 7-seater option and is to be based on the company’s third-gen platform and is exclusively being manufactured for the Chinese market.
As per the teased pictures, the upcoming MPV is expected to feature the sliding doors similar to the Kia Carnival. In addition to this, the MPV also gets a large grille with chrome inserts and LED headlamps, LED strip lights all across the boot lid, sporty spoiler along with a high-mounted stop lamp.
In terms of powertrain, the Hyundai Custo will offer 2 (Two) engine options – a 1.6-litre turbocharged generating 170bhp and a 2.0-litre unit producing 236bhp. Both the engines are mated with an automatic (AT) transmission as standard.
As of now, we don’t have any details of the interiors but the upcoming MPV is expected to get a touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ambient lighting and more. More details of the MPV is yet to be confirmed and the company has no plans to introduce the Custo in the Indian market anytime soon.
