The Korean car manufacturer, Hyundai revealed the i20 N Line in the Indian market earlier this week. The company has official announced the launch date of the i20 N Line which is scheduled for September 2, 2021.
The N Line version of the i20 is a sportier version of the regular i20. On the outside, the N Line version gets sporty front and rear bumper, new wheel design, dual-tip exhaust pipes, a new grille with a ‘chequered flag’ inspired design, red accents all around, additional front and side skirts, and new colour options.
Speaking of the interiors, the i20 N Line gets leather seats with chequered flag design, bespoke N steering wheel, sporty metal pedals, red ambient lighting , voice command functions, offers 16 free OTA map updates and much more.
Under the hood, the i20 N Line gets a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine mated either to a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT transmission generating 120bhp against a peak torque of 172Nm. The company has stiffened the suspension and retuned the steering for better handling and a more planted drive at higher speeds. Additionally, the model also gets 4 (Four) disc brakes.
As of date today, the i20 costs INR 11.40 lakh (Ex-showroom) for the Asta(O) turbo-DCT variant, the N Line version is expected to cost INR 1-1.5 lakh more. As of now, the Hyundai i20 N Line will not have any direct competitors in India.
