
The new Mahindra XUV700 has been spied testing on roads for quite some time, ahead of its debut which is expected to be around August or September this year. The launch of the SUV has been delayed for quite a number of reasons amongst which the primary reason is the ongoing situation of COVID-19. Nevertheless, as per latest spy shots we got to know that what’s on the inside of the upcoming mid-size SUV. Let’s have a look.
As per the spy shots, the new Mahindra XUV700 gets a new software for the touchscreen infotainment system. The below videos shows the driver and the co-passenger watching a movie while the SUV is in parking mode.
Another highlight inside the cabin is the fully digital instrument cluster that has twin-dial setup with the speedometer on the left and gear indicators on the right. The multi-information display is in the center which is inspired from a Mercedes-style dual screen setup. In addition to this, the interiors also gets chrome bits around AC vents, knobs on the dashboard and center console along with a dual-tone interior theme.

Speaking of the features to be offered, the new Mahindra XUV700 gets features like a panoramic sunroof, a Head-up display along with advanced driver assist system (ADAS) and more in addition to the features offered in the Mahindra XUV500. Safety features include parking assist, emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, hill assist and lane-keeping assist.
In terms of the powertrain, the Mahindra XUV700 will get both petrol and diesel options: a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder mHawk diesel engine and a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder mFalcon petrol engine. Both the engines are expected to be paired with a 6-speed manual (MT) gearbox as standard and a 6-speed automatic gearbox as an option along with an optional all-wheel-drive system to be offered in the higher variants.
The new XUV700 is bigger and a lot more premium than the Mahindra XUV500. The new upcoming SUV is expected to cost in the range of INR 14 lakh to INR 20 lakh (Ex-showroom) and will rival the likes of Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar.
