The German car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz has revealed its all new electric sedan, the Mercedes-Benz EQE at the IAA Mobility Show, 2021 in Munich, Germany along with the debut of the EQG Concept and the Maybach EQS Concept. The Mercedes electric sedan EQE will be placed below the Mercedes EQS and will go on sale in the European and US car market sometime in 2023.
As the name suggests, the Mercedes-Benz EQE is similar to the E-Class from the company’s ICE powered lineup. In addition to this, the electric sedan gets the design elements from its elder sibling the Mercedes-Benz EQS which includes black panel at the front, full-width LED headlamps and taillights, 19-inch to 21-inch alloy wheels, the smooth aerodynamic silhouette, and the short overhangs both at the front and the rear. As for the dimensions, the Mercedes EQE measures 4,946 mm in length and gets a wheelbase of 3,120 mm.
Inside the cabin, the Mercedes-Benz EQE gets similar features to that of the Mercedes-Benz EQS and also features the brand’s “Hype screen infotainment system” which is placed on the entire dashboard integrating 3 (Three) screens; the instrument cluster, the central touchscreen unit and an additional display for the front passenger.
Under the hood, the new electric sedan Mercedes EQE derives its power from a 90.6 kWh battery pack powered by a single electric motor at the rear generating 288bhp against a peak torque of 530Nm. The company claims to offer a maximum range of 660 km on a single charge and can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes via a DC fast charger.
