The German luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz has officially announced that it will launch it’s second all-electric product the EQS, post the EQC on August 24, 2022, in the Indian car market. The upcoming model is basically an electric-version of its on-going model S-Class.
The upcoming EQS model will be launched as a CBU model for the AMG 53 and 4Matic+ trims, whereas the 580 and 450+ variants will be launched as CKD units. The launch is most likely to happen around the festive season this year along with the price announcement.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz AMG EQS 53 and 4Matic+ variants will be powered by a 107.8kWh battery pack generating 649 bhp against a peak torque of 950Nm. The upcoming model will give a range of up to 570 kms in a single charge and can achieve 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. The Mercedes all-electric EQS was listed on the brand’s Indian website last year.
