MG Motor India has finally introduced the mid-size SUV in the Indian market at the starting price of INR 9.78 lakh (Ex-showroom). The mid-size SUV is offered in 4 (Four) different variants across 5 (Five) different colour options. The pre-reservations for the MG Astor has commenced with an amount of INR 21,000 while the booking of the same will begin on Oct 21,2021 on the company’s official website and authorized dealers. Moreover, the deliveries of the same will commence in November, 2021.

As for the exteriors, the new MG Astor features LED headlamps along with integrated DRLs, redesigned front bumper, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, LED taillights, Astor lettering on the bootlid, a new grille with chrome inserts, roof rails and a shark-fin antenna.
On the inside, the 2021 MG Astor gets 3 (Three) dashboard themes, 3 (Three) steering modes, a panoramic sunroof, an engine start/stop button, a 360-degree camera, a fully digital instrument cluster, an electric parking brake and much more. In addition to this, the model will also offer Level 2 Autonomous Technology and an AI assistant. In terms of safety, the Astor gets airbags, ABS with EBD, 4 (Four) disc brakes, TCS, HDC, HHC and ESP.
In terms of engine and transmission, the new MG Astor offers 2 (Two) engine options – a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit paired with a 6-speed automatic (AT) transmission producing 138bhp and a peak torque of 220Nm and a 1.5-litre VTi tech mated either to a 6-speed manual (MT) gearbox or an 8-speed CVT unit generating 108bhp against a peak torque of 144Nm.
