The German luxury car manufacturer, Porsche has updated its high performance SUV, the Macan which is now available on Porsche’s official India website. The new Macan is expected to be introduced in the Indian market in the coming months and will be offered in 3 (Three) variants – the standard Macan, Macan S and Macan GTS. Although, the company has not revealed the prices yet.
The Porsche Macan is a compact luxury SUV which was first launched back in 2014. Further, the updated version of the Macan was launched in Indian market in 2019 and was offered in Standard and S variants. Now, Porsche is also prepping to introduce the top GTS variant of this SUV in the Indian market.
The new Porsche Macan gets a new front bumper with an integrated grille and air intake, all-LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System as standard and 10 (Ten) distinctive 19 to 21 inch alloy wheel design. On the inside, the Macan gets a new steering wheel and a new dashboard similar to the Panamera, a fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Porsche Communication Management, a sound package plus which includes a ten-speaker, 150-watt sound system as standard and much more.
The 2021 Porsche Macan gets upgraded engines. The standard Macan gets a 2.0-litre turbo four unit generating 265bhp and 400Nm of torque and the Macan S gets a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 unit producing 375bhp and 520Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Macan GTS offers a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine generating 434bhp against a peak torque of 550Nm. The Macan GTS can achieve 0-100kmph in just 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 272kmph. All engines are mated to a 7-speed PDK automatic (AT) gearbox.
