Production-ready eKUV100 spied testing

The Indian car manufacturer, Mahindra is prepping to enhance its product line with the launch of its all-electric SUVs, one of them being the eKUV100. The concept was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and now the all-electric KUV100 has been spied testing on the roads. As seen in the picture, the prototype spied testing looks similar to that of the model which is expected to go on sale next year.

As seen in the shots, the model is painted in a dark shade of blue along with blanked out front grille and light blue inserts. The charging ports are placed on both the front fenders in the form of circular cut outs which is different from the model showcased. In addition to that, a “+” and “-” inserts on the tailgate signifies its electric nature and the overall design of the exteriors is similar to its ICE sibling.

As of now it is not yet confirmed that which battery pack will be offered in the eKUV100 but the company claims a 147kms range in a single charge with 0 to 80 percent charge being done in just one hour. The eKUV100 is expected to generate 54bhp against a peak torque of 120Nm.

On its launch scheduled for 2022, the electric SUV is expected to get a price tag less than 10 lakh (Ex-showroom) which could possibly be one of the affordable electric vehicles.
