Last year, Tata filed for trademark for the names “Dark” and “Camo” for its various models and was the first car manufacturer to introduce the “Dark Edition” for its SUV, Tata Harrier. The Dark Edition featured all-black theme on both the inside and outside. Now, the same theme is expected to be offered in its all-electric version, Tata Nexon EV.
In order to increase the popularity and sales of its all-electric SUV, Tata Motors is prepping to launch the “Dark Edition” of the Nexon EV. The special edition will feature the Atlas Black paint shade and “#DARK” badge similar to that of the Harrier. In addition to this, it will also feature blackened wheels, black seats, door pads and dashboard. It will be interesting to see whether or not Tata incorporates the signature blue highlights which are exclusive to the Nexon EV.
In terms of power and battery, no changes are expected and it will continue to get its power by a 30.2kWh battery that generates 129hp and claims a range of 312 km on a single charge. As of date today, the Nexon EV offers 3 (Three) variants- XM, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux and the price starts from INR 13.99 lakh and goes up to INR 16.56 lakh (Ex-showroom). The “Dark Edition” is expected to be offered only in the higher variants of the Nexon EV and could be priced at a premium of INR 20,000 approximately.
