Volvo India has finally introduced the much-awaited S90 B5 Inscription in the Indian market at a starting price of INR 61.90 lakh (Ex-showroom). The model is a petrol mild- hybrid unit and is available in 4 (Four) colours – CRYSTAL WHITE | BRIGHT SILVER | ONYX BLACK | DENIM BLUE. During the launch, the company mentioned that it would introduce one new electric model every year starting next year in 2022 and will go fully electric by 2030.
As for the exteriors, the model gets cosmetic updates such as a new grille along with glossy black vertical ribs and double chrome inserts, a new emblem with forward looking radar technology, a new chrome bar, redesigned rear bumper with body coloured insert and hidden tailpipes in order to highlight the premium character of the model.
Speaking of other features, the new Volvo S90 B5 Inscription gets an advanced air cleaner along with PM 2.5 sensor, pilot assist, collision warning and mitigation support at the rear, lane keeping aid, android powered touchscreen infotainment system, collision mitigation support (front), blind spot information system along with cross traffic alert, park assist and much more.
In addition to this, the new S90 also gets features such as a 360-degree camera, massage function for front seats, BLIS with CTA, adaptive cruise control, Bower and Wilkins system with 19 speakers and digital services which gives access to Google Assistant, Google Maps and more.
The new Volvo S90 B5 Inscription derives its power from a 2.0-litre engine and a 48V electric motor mated to an 8-speed automatic (AT) gearbox which powers the front wheel generating a power of 246bhp against a peak torque of 350Nm. The air suspension setup claims to deliver a superior drive experience.
