The ongoing coronavirus lockdown has delayed Mahindra’s plans of launching its BS6 lineup but sources in dealerships have revealed the BS6 prices of the updated XUV500. We expect Mahindra to launch the three-row mid-size diesel SUV in India soon after the lockdown is lifted. It gets a mild price hike of Rs 28,000 across variants.
The SUV is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 153 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 360 Nm @ 1,750-2,800 rpm. The engine is offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The base W3 variant and the AWD variants are no longer offered.
BS6 Mahindra XUV500 Variant-wise price break-up:
W5 MT – 13.20 lakh
W7 MT – 14.50 lakh
W9 MT – 16.18 lakh
W11(O) MT – 17.70 lakh
