Adding one more feather to its cap, Mahindra Thar received over 6,500 bookings during the month of December. Thar SUV was launched on October 2 has been making waves in the market and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Executive Director of Auto and Farm Sectors, Rajesh Jejurikar said that despite of the capacity constraints, Mahindra Thar received overwhelming bookings of over 6,500 units in December.
While it is currently on sale only the AX Optional and LX trims, booking of entry-level standard and AX variants has been temporarily suspended.
The new Mahindra Thar takes a big jump compared to the first-generation model. Not only is it based on a new platform, but it also makes many design changes while retaining the quintessential boxy design. The new model is much safer than the predecessor and has been awarded a four-star safety rating by Global NCAP.
2020 Mahindra Thar has been introduced in both diesel and petrol automatic variants, alongside the conventional manual variants.
