New MG Hector Plus launched at Rs 13.49 lakh

MG Hector Plus launched

MG Motor India on Monday finally launched the much awaited Hector plus at an attractive price of rupees Rs 13.49 lakh for the base petrol Super trim and going up to Rs 18.54 lakh for the top-spec Sharp diesel trim. MG already officially began accepting orders for the Hector Plus last week, with booking amount set at Rs 50,000. MG is positioning the new Hector Plus as an option for chauffeur-driven SUV buyers with captain’s chairs for the middle row being the talking point. The third row, as MG puts it, is intended ‘for teenagers’.

NIC to capture FASTag details before registration

Highways Ministry asks NIC to capture FASTag details before vehicle registration

The government said it has decided to ensure capturing of FASTag details while registering or issuing fitness certificate to vehicles all over the country. In a letter addressed to NIC, with copies to all the states and UTs, the ministry has informed that full integration of National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) with VAHAN portal has been achieved, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in a statement.

Diesel price nears Rs 81 after 16 paise increase

Diesel price in the national capital inched towards the Rs 81 per litre-mark following a rate hike after a four-day hiatus. Diesel price on Sunday was increased by 16 paise per litre, according to a price notification of state-owned oil marketing companies. This took the retail selling price to Rs 80.94 per litre in the national capital — the highest ever. There was no change in petrol price for almost two weeks, and it continues to be priced at Rs 80.43 per litre.
