Bad days for Tata. Tata closing down the iconic Tata Safari Storme

Tata Safari Storme Carlo

Tata Motors, the nations largest automobile manufacturer, is closing down the production of Tata Safari Storme. One of the most iconic cars of Tata Motors, this comes along as shocking news for all the car enthusiasts. Tata Motors already has some of the models of Tata Tigor and Tata Tiago discontinued along with the complete abandon of Tata Nano. The list will now also include Tata Safari Storme.

This all came forth as part of the compliance with the safety and emission standards that will kick in from April 1, 2020. The emission standards mean that the diesel car should be BS-VI complaint and any car not complying shall not be entertained. Many companies have already taken note of this and Tata too is venturing this route. Buy new car

Tata Safari Storme, although an iconic car isn’t bringing in those sales numbers as Tata wishes to have and merely upgrading the Safari Storme to meet the emission standards would mean that the cost could get very high affecting the financial structuring of the company. Justifying such a huge investment for a car that doesn’t bring in major revenue is not worth it at all.

Hence Tata has taken note of this and will be discontinuing the Tata Safari Storme from now on. It only ranked in 443 units in the sale last month and Tata has had to offer huge discounts to clear the stocks. Tata will now base all its future models on the OMEGA or the ALFA platform that it has already integrated into its current top models. Buy old car

Tata will, however, not fully abandon the Safari Storme but will give it a makeover with an entirely next generation Tata Safari Storme. This will be one of the new cars in India. The next generation model will be based on the OMEGA platform derived from the D8 platform of the Land Rover Discovery Sport. It will be probably based on the same muscular framework as the current one and will have plenty of new features to rave about. It is expected that the preview or concept model of Tata Safari Storme might be showcased in the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo. Buy new car online
