According to a senior company official, Italian super luxury carmaker Lamborghini expects its sales in India to exceed 2019 levels this year after good traction at the end of last year.
The automaker is hoping that no changes to the tax arrangement have been made in the upcoming budget so that the segment can return to the normal growth trajectory and believes that any increase will “affect the segment very negatively”.
Head of Lamborghini India, Sharad Agarwal said they have witnessed that their firm is slowly coming back to track in the last few months- COVID-19 times in terms of new order intake and throughput in the workshop. Lamborghini is now hopeful that the super luxury Car segment will bounce back.
The super luxury car segment comprises niche cars that cost upwards of Rs 2 crore.
