Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M)’s popular Thar SUV has been given a 4-star safety rating for both adults and children in the latest round of the #SaferCarsororIndia crash test at the Global New Car Assessment Program (GNCAP).
As per the latest GNCAP test report, the 2020 launched Mahindra Thar was tested in its basic safety specification, two airbags. The car also receives side effects of the 95 regulation of the United Nations.
Speaking on this achievement, Velusamy R, Chief of Global Product Development, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said that they are very happy and it’s a proud moment for Mahindra Group as the new Thar reiterates their unstinted commitment towards the passanger safety. 2020 Mahindra Thar has achieved a robust GNCAP 4-Star rating.
With impressive GNCAP results, the Thar joins the association of other Mahindra siblings such as the XUV300 and Marazzo with the former recently awarded a five-star safety rating by Global NCAP. The Marazzo MPV also has an impeccable four-star rating for adult business protection.
