The SUV, Honda Elevate revealed in India

The Japanese car maker, Honda has finally unwrapped its much-awaited SUV, the Honda Elevate in the country. With this, Honda’s current portfolio has now 3 (Three) models – AMAZE | CITY | ELEVATE. The SUV has been designed and produced locally in the country for the Indian car market.

Speaking of the exteriors, the all-new SUV highlights sleek LED headlamps, a wider grille, horizontal LED DRLs, a straight bonnet line, a shark-fin antenna, inverted L-shaped LED taillights, tall roof rails, a 360-degree camera and much more.

As for the interiors, the Elevate flaunts a dual-tone theme with black and beige and offers features such as a big touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, cruise control, automatic climate control, ventilated seats, a fully digital instrument cluster and much more.

In terms of powertrain and transmission, the SUV gets the engine from one of its siblings, the 5th-gen Honda City. The Elevate will derive its power from a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual (MT) transmission and a CVT unit generating 119bhp and 145Nm of peak torque.

Once arrived, the Honda Elevate will rival the likes of the MG Astor, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder in the mid-size SUV segment.
