Few images of BMW’s all-electric iX3 SUV have been leaked on social media, and are allegedly official shots from the brand. At the time of unveiling the BMW iX3 concept vehicle in 2018, the carmaker said that it’s going to be the first electric vehicle based on its fifth-generation electric powertrain technology, which is designed to enable longer electric range.
Details of the production iX3’s powertrain are not yet forthcoming. The carmaker has been talking about a 74kWh battery pack, which the automaker claims is going to enable 440 km of range. BMW group also disclosed 210 kW/286 hp as the power of the BMW iX3’s electric drivetrain.
There is no official unveiling date for the iX3 and it is likely to have been postponed due to the coronavirus breakout around the world. However, it is still expected that the model will be shown off and go on sale before the end of 2020.
